Abstract
Third Room is a browser-based decentralized virtual worlds platform built on top of the Matrix protocol. Third Room pushes the limits of what you can do in a 3D browser application utilizing WebAssembly, SharedArrayBuffers and Atomics for lock-free multithreading, WebGL2, and much more. It's built on open standards like the glTF 3D file format and fully embraces it to provide a DOM-like API for scripting interactable user-generated worlds.
