Lorenz obtained his PhD from Heidelberg University at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), in Heidelberg, Germany. Currently, he is a joint postdoctoral fellow in the labs of Professor Eran Elinav and Professor Ido Amit at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, investigating the intersection between the microbiome and the immune system in health and disease by innovative experimental and computational methods. Besides, Lorenz is widely known as a science enthusiast.
