Tilmann is a full-time open source developer and activist. He is maintainer and main developer of Karrot, DIY tinkerer and avid foodsaver. He likes cycling and nature a lot.

Having been active in foodsharing.de, Tilmann taught himself web development and started the Karrot project in 2016. Since then, he spent much time working on Karrot feature planning and development. Tilmann is deeply involved in the <a href="https://kanthaus.online">Kanthaus project</a> to provide a work space for similar activist projects. He writes for the <a href="https://yunity.org/heartbeat">yunity Heartbeat</a>, an outlet that publishes news about grassroots sharing initiatives every two weeks. He dreams of a life where people are not afraid of each other.
