I am a computer vision engineer in the domain of cartography on my day job. In my free time I like to understand the inner workings of technical devices and to modify them. Or sometimes the other way around: I would like to modify something and I bite my way through things until I understand enough of the device to perform the modification. For a change I also like to develop things from scratch from time to time. I am especially interested in the areas of communication and historical computing.
