Joscha Bach studied computer science and philosophy in Berlin and New Zealand before embarking into Artificial Intelligence. He obtained his PhD in 2008 from the Institute of Cognitive Science in Osnabrück, founded IT companies and works at Harvard University in Boston, USA. He is the author of the cognitive architecture MicroPsi; his main interests involve Artificial General Intelligence and computational models of cognition and motivation.
