I'm a German scholar and activist who lives in Bristol, UK, and works at the Cardiff School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies at Cardiff University. I've been involved with online activist projects both in Germany and the UK, as well as with campaigns of the Open Rights Group and others. Currently I work on the research project "Digital Citizenship and Surveillance Society" (http://www.dcssproject.net/) and recently organised the conference "Citizenship and Surveillance" (http://www.dcssproject.net/conference/). I have attended the CCC Congress for the past 5 years.
